The series focuses on Alicia Florrick, who is the mother of two children. Her husband Peter Florrick a Chicago district attorney, has been jailed following a very public sex and corruption scandal. Alicia returns to her old job as a junior associate in a law firm to support her two children. She struggles very hard and transforms herself from embarrassed politician's scorned wife to resilient career woman, especially for the sake of providing a stable home for her children, fourteen year old Zach and thirteen year old Grace.
