The series revolves around a character Rob Schneider who is a life-long bachelor and successful landscape architect. After a childish romance, eventually he marries into a close-knit Mexican-American family. His wife Maggie is a beautiful, smart fashion boutique owner. Now they live in Las Vegas. Their parents are shocked by news that they have eloped and married. Maggie's parents remain skeptical of Maggie's choice for a husband. But Rob is hopeful that he will one day win the heart of his new in-laws and live happily ever with his true love, Maggie.
