The series revolves around Leslie Knope who is a mid-level bureaucrat in Parks and Recreation Department with a strong love of her home town of Pawnee, Indiana. whoes ultimate goal is to become President of the United States. One day a local nurse Ann Perkins demands a construction pit next to her house. Leslie decides to turn the pit into a community park, despite the oppose of defensive bureaucrats, selfish neighbors and real estate developers.
